PW

when jake woke up this morning i asked him to refer to me as Pioneer Woman :) something bizarre has happened. i have this itch to cook. very strange. here are a few very easy recipes i've tried recently. we'll start with breakfast.
When we go to Tennessee i have to mentally/physically prepare myself because i know i will gain at least 6 pounds. My father in law is an incredible cook. Everything he makes screams Southern Tennessee/i know i shouldn't eat this. My favorite thing to eat there is breakfast...i'm craving it even as i type. one morning to my surprise, he served this to me.

i've been craving it ever since. so, to fulfill that craving, i made it this morning.
I used the pioneer woman's recipe (a good friend gave
me her cookbook for my bday). you'll be proud to know, i didn't eat it...i just made it for Jake. I have to go on a diet in between visits to Tennessee! Here's the recipe for EGG in a hole!

-put some butter in a skillet on medium low heat. put a slice of
bread in the skillet. use a drinking glass to cut a hole in the bread. let bread soak up the butter. crack an egg into the hole. season w salt and pepper. cook for one minute. use spatula to flip bread & egg. season w salt and pepper. cook to your liking.
that's it!

now, let's skip to dessert
here is a recipe for the easiest chocolate pie ever.

i made it with my mother in law. can you see why i need to diet?
melt 6 bars of Hershey's chocolate with 3 Tablespoons of milk.
Fold melted chocolate into a thing of cool whip.
pour into already made graham cracker crust. make it look pretty.
cool for 2-4 hours.
i don't even like chocolate pie & i could eat the whole thing by myself.
