"i could make that at home"

well, it's a miracle.
almost every day i see something and say "i could make that at home"
A. i know deep in my heart i really couldn't
B. i never do
But, today is a new day.
I have completed my first real DIY project -- a yarn wreath.

I started with this wreath that i got at Hobby Lobby for $3.99

Then i started wrapping (thick) yarn around the wreath.
Most tutorials i looked at said to keep the plastic wrap on the wreath...so that's what i did.
As you can see, Annie thought this was her new toy.

this part takes a while and at this point, i was about ready to stop.
this is why i can't do DIY things.
i get tired of it in about 3 minutes.

but, i stuck with it & after i finished wrapping the yarn around the wreath,
(i went back and filled in a few spots that need it) i made these roses out of felt.
and, if i can make roses....anyone can.

i decided on pink and red for Valentine's Day and secured them with push pins so that i can switch them out when seasons/holidays change.

here's the finished product {the lighting is terrible}

it's not perfect, but i kind of love it that way
